So I have a spare laptop. Its actually a really good spec. AMD A10. About 2 years old. And I have had 12GB of ram in it in the past... But since the screen has been dodgy I have removed some of it an only have 4gb in it now.

Anyhow it is a really good looking machine. HP, Beats Audio, ATI graphics card. And the screen is 1920x1080 no dead pixels. Battery is good.
The problem I have is the display occasionally  freezes then starts slowly getting whiter and whiter and then i will move the lid and it will come right again (for a short period of time) until the process rinse and repeats itself.

Does anyone know if this would be a problem with the panel itself? or a dodgy cable/connection between the motherboard and the panel.

I wrote this post on the laptop in question. I have opened a few before to do surgery, but im not really an expert on panels.

Let me know how you could fix this. It doesn't have a warranty. I would love to use this machine for some software development. (Also if i use an external monitor via an HDMI cable the display on that screen is 100% fine).
