Hi . Im after some opinions
Cloud storage for documents , so people can access & edit when out of office

There may be more than 1 person editing the doc at the same time , MS Sharepoint or Onedrive allow
Word Doc Collaboration .
Basically have all Docs in the 'cloud' , but must allow for the fact their may be more than 1 person editing some docs.

How well does MS Doc Collaboration  work in the real world ?

OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, etc, Office Online, and even Office 2016, all let you do this now.

Pretty well. If you have Office 365 and share the document from the OneDrive then multiple people will be able to edit at the same time.

I worked at an organisation that used MS Sharepoint.  Found it very good, in particular the document version control and ability to book editing access to a document.

Disclaimer: That's a user perspective not a system admin perspective.  I left that place in 2013 and haven't used it since.
