Have been asked a few times this year for a NZ only Dropbox type feature that will allow customers to share data with other customers, that is all based exclusively on NZ servers (Including backups).

Ideally, something we can resell with Margin on top.

Would need versioning and some easy way to share a link with someone else.

Maybe have a look at the Catalyst Cloud solution? They even appear to have different zones within NZ

I've heard positive things about vGrid via Exeed.

I've never looked at it personally.  The salesman as nice.  :)

Huh - after 2 mins of looking Databox looks exactly like what you are asking for.

Local (either NZ or AU) incl backups.

Ability to share docs, and get notifications when they are accessed.

not sure about the resell part though.

Same disclosure - work for Datacom, but different area.

It will be even scarier once TPP (transpacific partnership agreement) starts

I think a lot of IT services need to be kept on NZ soil

At a TPP public meeting, I listened to Jane Kelsey a professor of Auckland university speak about international companies not being obligated to provide source codes of electronic services.

And look at what happened with the Equifax security breach in the US. Equifax took over Veda who hold our credit reports for the country. That stuff probably gets stored overseas.
