I hope someone can help with some pointers. (and I hope this is an appropriate forum to post this)

I have a simple Open Office Base database working on my desktop computer and I'm trying to install it on a laptop.

The laptop is an Acer Aspire E5-523G 64 bit.
The version of Libre Office is 6.0.7_Win_x64
The Java install file is JavaSetup8u191.exe
It has installed to Program Files (x86)/Java/jre1.8.0_191 /bin and /lib

When first installed, I could create a database (Clients) OK
When I went create a table, I got a message that no JRE was installed. That's when I downloaded and installed the above version of the JRE.
When I click on Tables I get "The connection to the data source "Clients" could not be established. No java installation could be found. Please check your installation"
If I then go to Tools/Options/LibreOffice/Advanced the JRE installed window is empty.
If I go Add and navigate to Program Files (x86)/Java/jre1.8.0_191 and click OK I get the message
"The folder you selected does not contain a Java runtime environment. Please select a different folder"

I don't know where to go from here. As I said it is working fine on my desktop, without my having to install anything new.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Got it sussed, thanks.
The version of Java I had (x86) is the 32 bit version.
Once I installed the 64 bit version (x64) all was good.
:-)
