Hey all,

Just got an issue where I cannot send via my own domain to Hotmail based accounts. Live/Hotmail/Outlook etc..

Server response: 550 5.7.1 Unfortunately, messages from [184.173.153.202] weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list (S3140). You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors. [SG2APC01FT039.eop-APC01.prod.protection.outlook.com]

I use mailgun and cloudflare with gmail. Maybe Mailgun's IP is blocked here? I put a ticket in with them and will see what they have to say.

Cheers

Problem Entries, (listings will cause email problems.)

85 "Spam" entries [20:10:47 14 Jan 2019 GMT-05].

Problem hostnames/domains (could cause email problems.)

20 "Spamvertised" entries [22:22:03 07 Dec 2018 GMT-05].

Note:These entries are for URLs or email domains, the IPs that may show up as 'spamvertised' only indicate where the URL/Host was seen being sent from. Listings for IPs that are 'spamvertised' will not usually cause blocking problems unless the email contains the IP address as a URL

So mailgun is on the SORBS blacklist? Their support site reckons they try and unlist themselves when it happens, but this has been apparent for a while now so I call BS.

I just use my own SMTP server - I've not had any issues with it (apart from that one time I ran an update and it reset the authentication to null and I was wondering why 10000 emails were queued up to go out).

I use hMailServer with SpamAssassin (and have SPF/PTR records enabled) which seems to keep most of the nasty stuff out :)

I am running MailInABox on a server at home with an openvpn tunnel to a Digitial Ocean server to get a static public IP. An email to a landscape supplies company bounced and I had to fill a form on the Microsoft Office 365 Delisting Service page. They responded with an email which went into my spam folder! but once I found it and followed the link my IP was removed from the blacklist.
