Hi

I am trying to transfer a domain from another provider to 1st domains

I keep getting an error saying something about a five day grace period.

I have been given the UDAI by the customer

According to 1st domains a domain must be over 5 days old.

This domain is years old and is still active.

Sometimes the UDAI can expire so get a new one from the current host.

IIRC, if a record is changed on a .com with some registrars , there is a hold placed on it to prevent dodgy DNS fiddling etc. So you might be caught by that. So even though the domain is years old, something on it might have been changed in the last few days.

The process is voluntary by each company, so some do it, some don't.

An nz domain needs to be a certain age before it can be transferred to another provider.

Sorry i should also mention, a domain needs to sit with a registrar for a certain period of time.

Ie,you can't move a domain between 5 registrars on the same day

Didnt realise it was 5 days, I thought it was more like a month
