Ford:

I have a licenced version of Adobe pro 8 and it won't activate on windows 10

Adobe Pro 8 was released in 2006 and is now freeware.

Ford:

Is that the comments I can expect from this geekzone website in the future?

Once geekzone, was a site with great standards. They seemed to have lowered somewhat.

Being honest and keeping updated with technology is lowering standards of an otherwise technology centric forum?

Adobe Pro 8 was not made freeware. The company disabled the licensing servers but it did not make it available to everyone - they made it available to users of existing licences.

@Ford as per previous comment, keeping old software will slowly make your system more vulnerable - as linked, you have already experienced the pain of recovering from a crypto ransom hijacker.

Now that I have another server I can take my old server offline and I can keep using Adobe on it for now, until I come up with another solution.

I only need the software a couple of times a year.

Maybe Geekzone might consider having a security menu on the forums?

I did send them an email a while back but I didn't get any response.
