I wonder if this forum is the right one to ask for some help with a bit of code I am only good with plugins!

<html>
<head>
<title>my site</title>

<head>
<body>
</div>
<div1></div1>
<script async src="https://cse.google.com/cse.js?cx=015156830555069242340:xzgmgdyqbp4"></script>
<div class="gcse-search"></div>
<div2></div2>
</body>
</html>

It is the code for google custom search and I am putting in a WordPress site

I want to be able to have it centred and about half way down the page (just like google search)

anyone help?

All the divs are empty and aren't doing anything. I think you need to use CSS for this. Depends how the rest of the page is done.

Number 5 is my preferred way, but it depends on what browsers you are targetting.
