Sure, here you go:

From 1st Domains

log into your 1st Domains account, click the 'Manage' tab, then click 'Multi-Factor Authentication' under the 'Account Holder & Password Information' heading & then follow the instructions.
You can use Authy or Google Authenticator, it's up to you.

Works excellently with Authy
😀

Do you think they saw this geekzone thread and decided to do it? Timing is impeccable

For those of you in this thread interested in two-factor auth, you may also want to ask the support teams at the respective registrars what happens if you lose access to your MFA codes. This will also give you an idea how easily someone might be able to socially engineer themselves past the protections by calling the support desk and pretending to be you.

And to be perfectly honest I'd much rather Metaname over 1st Domains from a support and security perspective having used both:

Seconded. The evidence is right there.

I actively migrated away from 1st Domains because their service was shocking.  When your tech support people don't actually understand how DNS works, and that's literally your job... :o

Firstly, thanks Moderator for unlocking this old post to allow me to post a follow up on behalf of 1st Domains. I'm the Product Owner for Hosting & Domains at Voyager, which includes 1st Domains.

As pointed out in some posts, 1st Domains does support 2FA and we actually added this back in August 2019, although we didn't publicise it well, so it's not surprising that most people were not aware we had added support. I'll be sure to include some information about 2FA in our next customer informer.

I'd also like to advise that last month we added support for DNSSEC DS records, allowing external DNS providers like CloudFlare to be used for full DNSSEC. We've also made sure our DNS delegation options also support IPv6 Glue Records. The Domain Name Commission has scheduled an update to their .nz Registrar list to indicate we are now DNSSEC and IPv6 Glue Record friendly.

Some other updates with what the team is working on:

We're currently working on auto-renew for domains and services, after recently releasing the ability to securely save a credit card to the account (uses tokenised billing through Windcave so is nice and secure, no CC details held by 1st Domains). This is the number one feature request from customers, so I can't wait for us to implement this one (about time you say!).

The elephant in the room is the website design and UI. We are looking at what we can do here, and it will most likely be a work in progress, with elements of the website updated a different times, rather than a big bang approach. Unfortunately we're dealing with plenty of legacy code that is tightly integrated with how the website is rendered, but as we update various parts of the code, we are always looking at ways to improve.

I'll do a better job at lurking on these forums in future, but feel free to tag me in any questions or suggestions that pop up.

Thanks, Lee.
