Set a friend up with a new computer, put vista 64 on it since thats the only logical thing to do, but he needs to vpn to work to get to a web server on the lan.

The cisco client doenst install on 64 bit and it seems that they want to just sell a new solution with a new client.

I found a trial of something and installed it and it worked, but its expiring soon and its $250 US to purchase so not an option.

Any other cheaper solutions?

Havent tried it, does it do ipsec? the pages all just say that they use UDP to connect, which I dont know if they really mean ipsec on 10000 or something propriatory. Its quite a drive to his place to try it, and I cant get in from here because of IP restritions on at the target network.

It's a proprietary system - if you are looking for an ipsec client then this is not for you. If you are looking for an alternative VPN solution then it's worth looking at it.
