I have a new client who has customers all over the world, hence the need for a centrally located server that gives good ping times to most of the populated areas of the world.

Where is the "best" place to purchase a dedicated server? I notice that most servers here in NZ have poor response times to the UK, I'm wondering if something in or around New York is best.

Any advice appreciated.

East coast would give slightly better performance for Europeans (maybe 50-100ms difference) and west coast would give better slightly performance for Asia/Pacific.  Perhaps split the difference and host centrally in Dallas there are some pretty major hosting operation there.

Id go with Dallas personally.

180~190ms response time from my current host there and they should give a reasonable response time for others in the UK.

Can I ask what host it is?

Ragnor, do you have a larger readable version of that image?
