Hi All,

seem to have stumbled up on something.

Company just upgraded to a Cisco unit(yay!) and we got sent a new modem from Telecom(2wire gateway).

We are on DSL and would like to setup the 2wire for bridged mode. At first attempt, not much luck. Xtra HD dont support this either.

Would anyone be able to shed some light onto this please? Otherwise we will have to go out and buy a new modem with bridging capabilities.

Is the ADSL connection PPPoA or PPPoE?  Most is PPPoA in NZ and you can't full bridge PPPoA easily, you won't want to use double NAT or the DMZ feature and I doubt the 2 wire supports half bridge (which you also won't want to use for a business connection)...

So basically a Draytek Vigor 120 that does PPPoA to PPoE bridging is probably what you need, assuming the 2Wire can't do this.

Look under, settings, broadband, link configuration. Have you made the required changes there?

The manual may not be much help, as it is for the generic 2wire, and not the custom TNZ model.
But here is the link anyway.
