I don't know if this is the right subforum to ask this in, but can anyone think of a way to get gmail to automatically delete any emails which are seven days old?

I'm trying to use a gmail account for backups of log files, but it's going to get filled up pretty rapidly and I'd rather not have to log in every week to delete a bunch of emails

Thanks!

I've got 7 gigs of space on my gmail account. Do you really go through 7 gigs in a week with log files?

Gmail doesn't have functionality to create time based delete rules - as the general premise of gmail is to never delete an e-mail

I'm a big boy, I can admit when I am wrong.

This is one of these times.

Unbelievably, I've worked out that I will get up around 7 gigs of backups in a week

You can set a filter with the setting "before:2006/06/01", but for the life of my I can't find a way to make that date dynamic - so frustrating
