I'm looking for advice for an all round remote monitoring & management function similar to Kaseya, GFIMax and the likes where I can monitor remote PC's from one central location - I would like to remote desktop, run patch monitoring, asset management and do all that kind of thing.

I've struck a NZ company by the name of Naverisk (, and although in it primitive form (of look and feel) compared to Kaseya and others - it really does suit what I'm after...
My questions are:

Has anyone had experience with Naverisk before (I know they have picked up Need a Nerd as a major client)?

What other similar solutions would you suggest? (based on cost, simplicity and functions etc...)?

Thanks in advance...

We use Naverisk for monitoring our clients machines/servers and it works great.
The only problem we have is with the remote desktop connection.
We monitor a number of home users machines and they run a Home version of Windows so no Remote Desktop built in.
This means that you have to use VNC (Naverisk's other remote control software) but it is soooo slow and doesn't seem to work very at all with Windows 7.
For those clients we've just installed the free version of LogMeIn so we can get remote access if needed.
