The hunt is on for New Zealand’s top ICT professionals and projects

It’s time to recognise outstanding ICT achievements with the 2011 ITEX Computerworld Awards. Entries and nominations are open for ICT Manager of the Year, ICT Project of the Year and Software Developer of the Year.

“The awards are a platform for the ICT profession to showcase and celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence,” says Computerworld editor Sarah Putt. “This year's awards ceremony will take place as part of celebrations to mark Computerworld's 25th birthday, which will make it especially significant."

What are the judges looking for?
ICT Manager of the Year (sponsored by Cube People): Someone whose clever use of technology has added real value to a company or organisation. The impact their leadership skills and innovation has had on the business also play an important role.

ICT Project of the Year: Whether it’s a one-man band or a large team effort, we’re looking for a dynamic, innovative ICT project that’s made a difference. It is open to all public or private sector organisations.

Software Developer of the Year: This new award recognises the creative and
practical skills of software developers, on which all ICT innovation rests. We’re looking for someone who has created software with tangible benefits.
