I do not understand this:
What are the network and power management requirements for computers?
The energy efficiency standards for computers have network and power management
requirements. These include but are not limited to all computers being shipped with power
management enabled, so that the default time to sleep after user inactivity is set at 30
minutes or less. For more detail see AS/NZS 5813.2.
If applicant is not responsible for the supply of the operating system, then the applicant is
exempt from these requirements.
Can someone point out where/when how this power saving is specifically hardware controled?
