I just tried the Market Fix (not HD) and still no joy with Foursquare (or Tumblr, for that matter). And WOW did the resolution change made everything HUGE.

Re-flashed the Market HD fix. At least this way I have a nicer-looking screen. :p

Have you ever tried editing your build.prop file to set the lcd density to a lower value? I run with 192dpi on mine and it everything looks much nicer.  Make a nandroid and have a go - you will probably find you like it. :)

Nah, I've never done that. But the Market HD fix changed resolution for me - Android has never looked so good!

On my second attempt at full wipe/install I had issues with market so installed the modified market direct from XDA forums, this fixed the issue of unable to D/L certain apps, i then installed CDT's HD market over top and it has run perfect ever since.

I had a few teething issues with battery remaining dropping, (i.e. reboot the phone and lose 40% of charge etc) however after resetting fuel chip, wiping battery stats, fully charging and discharging it has come right and the battery life is unprecedented for my phone, 16hr's of daytime use with 3.5hrs of screen on time (screen left on auto brightness). I have never managed more than 2.5hr's under similar circumstances on any rom before.

Speed-wise it feels fast and indications suggest it is significantly faster than previous rom's i have used (new Quadrant runs in the 2600's and vellamo runs in the high 1400's)

Wade, can you please link me the XDA market you used? I love this ROM but there's so many apps that I can't download. If I could fix that error then this ROM is perfect. =)

Have a look at "[APK] Google Play Store v3.5.16 + MOD" thread in Galaxy S2 themes and apps. I think I used the 3.5.15 version so not sure if the newer apk will cause any issue

I just tried this and get the following error:

X Application not installed

An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed.

You've got to remove the old one first. Make sure you have a back-up...

I messed around with themed markets at one point and that was the way it was usually done. Delete it, reboot, install the new one, reboot and you're done. Or something to that effect.

Probably the better route as it's pretty much the same thing as far as the phone is concerned. An easier way back too. ;)

Awesome. Might give that a go. Could somebody point me to the files I need to be looking for, rather than spend half an hour trawling through directories?

System/App/Play_Store_3.5.16.apk (or thereabouts)

Used to be called Vending.apk or something like that.

Frustration.

I've renamed the vending.apk to vending.apk_bk and I still get the same error message =/
