I prefer to buy locally if I can, and have been around the local retailers enquiring about the One X. Because of concerns about build quality and faults I always ask what their cutoff for replacement vs repair is. All replies so far have been between 1 and 2 weeks. Some were at pains to point out that wasn't for a refund but replacement. One even asked why I was enquiring since it was such a great phone, to which I told them to google 'htc one X problems'. All I can say is if you're bugged by the pixel, take it back sooner rather than later if you want it replaced.

Not sure about vodafone but with telecom I called up and told them my screen flickered. They said they hadn't heard about the issue but sent out a replacement on the spot as well as a courier bag to send my old phone back. This was within the 7 days though.

That's pretty awesome. Voda require sending it in to them to be checked and then sending a replacement (or at least that was the case with a lumia 800).

I went into Vodafone today and showed the lady there. She was very helpful and said if i've had it less then 28 days and there are no marks or scratches on it they will replace it on the spot. However they are out of stock at the moment so I am waiting for that then i'll get the unit replaced :D Nice work vodafone!

I must say its a little disapointing about the battery, but to be honest i think its getting better. Perhaps its just me. With a car charger ill be fine. Thanks for all your help :)

I'll let you know if/when i get the replacement.

I hope thats a good thing, I'm a little reluctant to get a new one in case it has more dead pixels or some other problem...

I hope thats a good thing, I'm a little reluctant to get a new one in case it has more dead pixels or some other problem...

Use something like 'screen test' (from google play store) as soon as you get it and give it a workout through all the colours white black etc.

Anyone else getting a fair amount of screen flex? Just realised my replacement One X does and it's started flickering with greys as well :/

You mean the distortion on the screen when you push hard on the sides? Yeah I get that, saw some websites talking about it...Its a non issue. Mountains out of molehills to say the least.

Yeah but I get it if I apply a little pressure to anywhere on the screen.

Not sure if it's related, but one of the fixes in 1.28 is for screen/graphics issues.

However, according to a thread over at XDA, an update on the screen flicker is coming from HTC soon, "update" could mean software update, hardware recall, or manufacturing process fix for all we know

No its pressure pushing down on the lcd, most of the time the fault is just on the edges of the screen. However with mine if I push anywhere on the screen it there is a big ripple in the middle. I'll see if I can grab a video of it.
