The guy there told me it has been entered by support office as an order, and that order was not there yesterday - which apparently means they have been told how many they are receiving. I think it was about 70 all up. If they get stock, I will be informed and I will let you know.

I'm waiting on a 32gb from JB St Lukes also. Last week they were expecting them on Monday (25th June) but didn't know why they didn't arrive. Yesterday, talking with James, he 'guessed' they'd be in this week. Let us know how you get on.

I highly doubt or have faith in this at all. Their date is melting like butter on a hot stow and I won't believe it until I see it in person. We are leaping over the fence as the day gone by. Crazy as it may seem but Vodafone shop said they won't be bringing them 32GB in at all. I'm really disappointed in Samsung right now. The Hype has died down beneath the infinite delaying from both end (NZ and Samsung).

This is from 2Degrees today... as you see they say they are still unsure about other models....

Thank you for your inquiry regarding Samsung Galaxy S3 (32gb or 64gb model).

Currently we have only 16gb model launched in the market and we cannot advise you when or if we are going to launch 32gb or 64gb model. We will notify you via our website if we are launching any these models.

If you have any further questions we're happy to help. You can contact us by email, call us free by dialing 200 from your phone or by dialing 0800 022022 from any other number. Press 0 to speak to a real person.

If I know how many then I probably can guess the winning lotto numbers every week.  There are many but how many out there, that I do not know.

But how hard is it for those carriers to just say:
"Unfortunately we will not be bringing in the 32GB/64GB models to New Zealand. 16GB Galaxy S3 is the only variant that will be officially released by us. Period! NEVER!"

Something like that would make it clear for us to go with the Parallel import instead. Right now all we got was:

"We're unsure blah blah blah but will let you know in the near future.. blah blah... you'll hear when we will launch this blah blah.."

If NO then NO, instead of umm ... not yet... we will considering.. blah blah.

I agree pretty crazy they can not commit one way or the other it is all umm ahh, I am sure they should be able to say yes we are going to bring them in but we do not have a date, that would make me happy.   Even if they said no we will never do them at least we then know, seems to be so many people waiting in the same situation in other forums.  Just amazes me companies the size of these telco's and they have no plan in place on what is happening.

My problem is I have credit to get them free and this is why I am waiting and if they are not going to get them in will buy a 16gb phone with my credit and sell it as new still in box a go parallel....

Which other forum? I should invade their territory hahaha I'm bored and been really bored while waiting for the 32GB variant. Might be good to throw some oild and fire on another forum as well :D

Oh by the way, smart choice on selling after you buying it through CC. I think I might have to go P.I if August is reached. I thought buying from local once again after 6 long years would be a better experience but meh it is still the same.

I spent a lot of dollars with Vodafone. Buying the handset of them since the Motorolla V525 first came out and it broke just 1 day after my warranty expiry date. And then the Nokia 6680 and the Nokia N95. Since then I have been going with imported phone because it is faster than jumping on the slow carrier boat. Now I'm back for the S3 and man never again pre-ordering anything from here. Will just buy it right out when it comes out in store in the future.

Having pre-ordered something doesn't always guaranteed you of getting it before anyone anyway. Those who preordered the phone end up waiting even longer for it than those who walk in and buy in the store. So what is the point of preordering anyway?

Yes EU got their S3 but limited to preorderers only, same as the UK. Here is a video on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GViz08rPCA
I am sure he speaking one of the European language and not English UK. Unless I'm wrong and he is actually speaking Australian or New Zealand language instead.

Mobicity has it and expansys has them in stock as well.

Samsung is trying to ride too many boats at the same time and the factory was said that it can pump out 5million Galaxy S3 per month is really exaggerating when it comes to real life quantity.

Think about it if the factory can produce 5 million devices/month, then why is there not enough to supply to the early adopters?
Even the order of the Galaxy is 9millions by 142 carriers world wide, Samsung should have a good understanding before releasing it. I'm pretty sure the early production of the S3 would be enough to at least satisfy half of the world demands. And 1 month after, the shortage is still screaming?

Example:
Let say at launch, Samsung have around 2 million and now 1 month later it should be almost reaching their 9 millions order. So by mid July, it would be about 9 million phones produced.

So I'm guessing that 5 million churning out of factory is just number to make it look good. :) Samsung may be incapable of producing the phone to meet the quota.
