my whole point with the NL samsung rep thing was that there is some much rubbish being said that there is no reason to believe any of it. People are getting all wound up over unconfirmed 3rd hand info but if you look overseas most are no better off than we are so no point in finger pointing as its rather obvious there is a delay in blues which has been identified, the 32's I have no idea as it doesn't interest me.

I still don't believe that we are hard done by given the time it took the S2 to reach NZ, however if it takes longer than the end of this month I'll start looking at getting one from overseas.

I think people need to think whats important. I wanted the phone on day one so i paid the price it was selling for on day 1 from JB. There are others who wanted a further discount with no guarantee of delivery date which in turn has put them through sleepless nights, heaps of blogs, frustrations and stress to save some dollars. I guess people need to understand you can't have best of both worlds at times. As someone mentioned above phone is available straight away so if you want it so badly go for it. Asking the same question to different people won't make it any quicker.Regarding memory its a personal choice and even with 16GB you are getting 50GB of dropbox and I saw someone order a 64GB card which makes it 16+50+64 = 130. Don't know how much memory do you want more from a phone.

Dropbox = requires internet or data != practicle memory.
Internal memory is always better than external and faster read and write as well because internal memory sit so close to the rest of the chip set which make it more efficient. External memory cannot compare with internal in term of better latency.
This is why having sufficient memory internally is far more useful than microSD since most applications requires internal memory to store data (Sygic, Navigon and HD games). Sygic data is sitting nearly 2GB and Navigon is 2.2GB. Some HD games that I bought from Play taking 1.2GB each. So I guess having internal space that is necessity IMO.

Well just got a call from 2D saying a S3 is in for me... But it's white... Now I can't decide whether to grab the white (and maybe swap it with someone later on for a blue/stick with white) or wait another at least a week for a blue :S:S

Don't forget the Dropbox 50GB includes 48GB which expires after two years (unless you pay for a subscription)

I managed to lock into the 50GB for life Box freebie deal a couple of months ago so currently have 105GB free cloud storage once i chuck 5GB from GDrive into the mix. I think if i was going to pay for a service i would pay for GDrive as it integrates well into the google/chrome ecosystem

Bought a Blue from JB Hi Fi today and got my deposit refunded from NL. Too impatient so paid the extra $100. The shipment JB got in consisted of a huge 5 units (blue only). Still had 4 left at 11am today if anyone else interested.
Of course NL will probably get them in next week now, but still no one at NL has got a clue and (at least here in Dunedin) are still talking months rather than weeks

I went to NL today to ask for my S3. The sales person who served me last time and he said he'll give the supplier a call on tuesday next week when he get back to work then give me a call later to let me know the status.

I hope he give me some good news. I was the first one to make the pre ordered of the blue one at the NL tristram St. But there are about 10 other people made the order as well.

Got my White. Will maybe try swap it for a Blue later on as I was keen on it. New to andriod and finding it quite a bit different from my Nokia Xpressmusic 5800.

Will take some time getting used to

They look like nice phones, but have to have the worst tv ads. 'Made for humans' is a stupid slogan, I mean who else would they be made for, aliens?

I won an S3 a week before launch but I asked for a blue one, so now I'm playing the waiting game. I can't really complain at all really.

According to one of the customer service staff on NL's 0800 number they're not sure when they'll arrive and Samsung aren't reliable with their dates. He checked the system and there were 100+ of the Vodafone 16Gb blue model on order at NL...
