I asked the attractive lady at the Samsung display stand in Britomart and she advised, JB, Dick Smith or Noel Leeming, but none of these were able to supply the charger (Noel Leeming had cables).

I've tried charging my device (Tab 7.7) from a iPad charger (2.1 Amp) but it did not like that, nor does it like 1 Amp chargers, the only charger it is fully happy with is it's own one.

Note: when I charge from other power supplies, once the power is low it locks up and only comes back to life when connected to its own charger. With the iPad charger and a 1 AMP charger it never full charges. With a 1 Amp charger the charging battery icon does not go away while the device is off.

I usually get my accessories from Expansys when I can't find it in NZ, sometimes it's more expensive while other times it's way cheaper. Ebay is another good place.

How have you faired with "Genuine" claimed products on Expansys?

Well, when I first came to NZ I had an HTC mobile which is not the most common brands around, and so I had to get the HTC genuine accessories from overseas and that's how I got to know about Expansys.

Cool, I'll give that a try, I've had some bad experiences with online stores claiming Genuine goods which were not.

Expansys are pretty legit.

Failing that, Clove, Handtec, MobiCity or eBay.
