I have a mild interest in Android, from a tech interest point of view. Thats pretty much it, as other than a tech interest it is not that relevant to me.  Good to see some Android users taking so much interest in going out of their way to comment on something that they dont like or use. Psychologicaly, that is actually a compliment.

You can twist it into a compliment if you choose.
Are kids who throw stones at a mentally impaired person really paying them a compliment??

Im pretty sure 99.9% of android users enjoy being able to plug a run of the mill micro usb cable into their phone, the other end into a computer and wa-hey drag and down file storage, copy music, films etc.

How about that for "It just works!"

iPhone is fighting a losing battle and the odds are stacked against it.

That being the case, I am sure you have better things to do than comment/argue on something that you dont use and dont like. After all, it isnt relevant to you in any way, but you seem to have a need.

Re the USB cable, yes I do take an extra step or two to copy anything I like, to or from my iDevices. Quicker and easier on Android? Yes it is.  Its still quick and easy for me as well, so therefore no real issue at all.

If we were to have a friendly discussion on the pros and cons of both, I would be more than happy for that, be interesting, and informative. But as you are biased 100% there is really no such point. I like Android, I happen to like iOS more, simple as that. I have balance, and manners.

All I can say is wow! Kinda fullfilling that well known Apple fanboy persona well known on the interwebs.

Congrats.

As an iPhone user I enjoy being able to drop files into iTunes and then synch them to the phone over Wi-Fi with one click. No messing around with cables :)

Tks, although I'm not the fanboy, you should check the definition sometime. Im subscribing off this thread, the attitude is, well, too poor for me to continue in a serious discussion. I am glad you feel fulfilled.

Have a great day.

Im not arguing with you. Unless Im mistaken we are in the Android forum and a few posts above youre saying how you prefer iOS, well good for you.

Funny how you say Im biased yet you leapt to the defence of Appleat what you perceived to be a detrimental comment.

Perhaps look to your antagonistic comment "Good to see some Android users taking so much interest in going out of their way to comment on something that they dont like or use".

Remember this is the Android forum and when fishing dont be surprised if the fish bite!

Well I'm certainly 100% biased Smile I started this thread in the Android forum with the sole intention of mocking and ridiculing the iPose 5 (especially now the specs have been released and they're equal to or less then the S3).

This from the launch

"It also allows users to take photos while shooting videos -- an increasingly popular feature found on rival smartphones.

Looks like it's a hit already - 1 in 5 Android users to move to the iPhone 5?

This guys post sums it up

Full Metal Pizza,
That's Wired for you. According to it, 73% of dogs and a whooping 89% of cats plan to switch to the iPhone 5 as soon as it's available, making it ipso facto the smartphone of choice of household pets.

Also check these interesting poll results:

Do you plan to buy the new iPhone when it is released?
  • Yes - 45% (5% Will wait in line day of release, 16% will buy it online as soon as its available, 24% will buy it without a set time frame)
  • Undecided - 24%
  • No - 31%

Undecided and No make up 55%

If yes, why? (choose all that apply)
  • 65% - I want to upgrade my current iPhone
  • 29% - No phone compares to an iPhone
  • 28% - I like to purchase the newest products
  • 14% - I want to switch from Android to iPhone
  • 11% - My friends and family have recommended the iPhone
  • 7% - I want to own a second iPhone

  • 29% - No phone compares to an iPhone
  • 28% - I like to purchase the newest products
  • 7% - I want to own a second iPhone
64% seem to be die-hard Apple tech freaks!

Android Phone Users:
  • Yes - 22% (2% Will wait in line day of release, 7% will buy it online as soon as its available, 13% will buy it without a set time frame)
  • Undecided - 27%
  • No - 51%

so the question was actually put to people if they are an android user then would they switch.
Hmmmm me thinks that these responses would be littered by Apple fans filling out the poll and ticking this box to say they are android fans switching to Apple.
So....the real honest figure is probably far far less.

It's a poll about a new iPhone, You would assume more iPhone people would visit that page and vote.

If I ran a poll here I would find that 100% of people in the world use Geekzone.

Online polls are very biased towards the website/articles demographic.

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

this thread is so funny and predictable with each side going tribal.

In my opinion whatever either side does I hope they do it well so the innovations get better for we consumers.

Apple isn't for me but I think the iphone and ipad are both very good but just not for me but can see why people like them.

As an aside, I saw a pic of the new ipod and (to my old eyes at least) it looks very much like an S3, no not trolling at all.

P1n3apqlExpr3ss: Kinda silly how they claim it's the world's thinnest phone when Oppo has announced something 6.65 mm thin in the past. I find the language they use to be very tedious as well... "we know you're going to love it" "we think it's fantastic" and so on. Pity there wasn't a live stream (afaik)

http://mobilekiwi.co.nz/ios/item/1633-apple-announces-the-iphone-5

As a person with a certain amount of expertise in psychology the Apple marketing technique is rather laughable.

Their whole angle is still clutching to the trendy, funky but 'so cash' image.

Their language at launches is all the same style and hype heavy almost indoctrination like.

Apple are smart, they have the money to employ the best of the marketing minds available but that will only get them so far.

How they succeed is more to do with their fanbase than their actual product.

My own sister is an Apple junkie, has 5+ different devices.

She glosses over or ignores their products shortcomings and almost nothing penetrates the façade of 'Apple is amazing'.

Android is starting to trump Apple in almost every area of the smartphone but even if the Galaxy S4 will have the ability to teleport you to any place you wish to go millions of Apple fans wont budge (or see the light).

Why do you care so much about this??
