loganjames: http://store.telecom.co.nz/mobile/personal/phone-details/telecom-r22-black/prepaid

Telecom r22 is a 4" screen with 1ghz and 4.0.4 @ $299 rrp

Downsides 3mp cam, known app to sd issue.

this is the specs

3G UMTS 850, 2100 MHz.
2G GSM 900, 1800, 1900 MHz

so should work on 2D (I think) - although you wont get 3G coverage in rural areas where you roam on vodafone - but 2G will still work.

GoodSync. Easily back up and sync your files with GoodSync. Simple and secure file backup and synchronisation software will ensure that your files are never lost (affiliate link).

WRONG

WRONG again.
Buy a Voda or 2Deg unit. It WILL work 100% of the time on either network.

Suggesting to anyone that buying something that won't function in some places is WRONG

Hmm, OK, struggling to see anything wrong with this. I'm going to look into it, thanks!

Yeah, another vote for the g300. Android 4.03, reasonable camera, quite speedy and feels really solidly built. Cant beat it at $240 unless you buy second hand. 4 inch screen is great too. My Wife loves her one and so does my brother in law. Helps you can get covers etc from trademe. Bought a coloured hard case/sleeve for $8 but the nilkin? ones are really nice too for around $20.

It is unlikely it will see official jellybean, but the ICS implementation is good and has the option to go back to stock ICS look if you prefer it.
