peejayw: How did you get around having to provide a phone number for account verification and if you already have your card linked to another NZ google account will it still work?
Thanks.
motorwayne:syphe: just got my shipping email from google for an 8GB, it's been picked up by UPS and should be at youshop in a day or 2!
To order I changed my billing address on my Visa card to my youshop address, and signed up a new gmail with GWallet with the matching details, went through without a hitch, albeit was a bit nervous when it was sitting there in 'pre-order' for a day or so.
For those sending through youshop, I got a Nexus7 in the post on Thursday through the same means, they asked me for a value and the box had what I quoted, which didn't include youshop postal fees, so if you're getting the 8GB you should be fine getting through customs under the threshold.
How did you change your billing address to the US for your already owned Visa card without the Visa company going ballistic?
But I like the sound of this as an idea for all future purchases...might set one up specifically for this sort of thing.
Cheers
