My first nexus 4 was rattling so took it back and got a new one and the new one also rattles. Does anyone else that has purchased the phone from NZ have the issue? The YouTube clip describes the issue..

Yup happens with mine too. I read on xda that it's actually the camera and there's no reason to worry.

Initial thoughts:
Battery life on this thing is shocking.
It hates low signal areas and drains faster than my old desire.

Going to root and disable fast dormancy. But a bit disappointed by this.

The volume rocker definitely won't last. Feels very flimsy.

The device gets a bit warm but not a major problem.

When I pull it from my pocket sometimes I won't realise it's upside down. No front markings.

Other than that, it's insanely fast. Very quick app switching. Great graphical performance. Back speaker surprisingly good. Amazing quality screen. Photospheres are very cool and will only get better with software updates.

If I can improve battery life ill be stoked with it.

Rooted. Installed Franco kernel.
Just loaded stock aosp browser. It's much smoother than chrome and supports flash. Everything is fine in it except when using quick settings there is a bar at The top that gets stuck.

Does Juice Defender require root?

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

No I hav not modded my nexus 1 bit not even root it is pretty pointless.
The whole point of rooting and installing custom rom is to try and get the latest version of android and a purer one at that.
Nexus has both

I found that JD only helped the phone while it was idle which wasnt that bad anyway... the problem is how the screen and mobile data impacts the battery life.

On WiFi I can get between 4-5 hours screen time but on 3g/H+ I am only getting between 2-3 hours which is actually fine and I charge daily anyway but yea when you get the latest you always expect the greatest.

I use tasker alot to control brightness and turning things like WiFi and Bluetooth on and off but while it has helped it comes back to the fact that idle drain is fine.

edit: spelling mistake

Also, if you've rooted the N4/unlocked the bootloader, try franco's kernels, i'm getting lots better idle battery life with franco r23/r27.

I am having issues transfering video clips from my phone to Acer tablet via usb.If connected as MTP, the tablet does not see the phone as connected to usb, if I use PTP I get the option to use Gallery to import photos which works fine but video clips fail to transfer.
Are there some sort of drivers I need on the tablet or phone to get this working? Using BT is painfully slow.
