Axe: is it possible to change your address on an ASB debit card, if so, how?
I have a feeling that might be delaying my order...
I ordered on the 29th (USA time) and still haven't got any shipping info or anything happen to my order.

Yes login, go to personal details > update contract details, then select visa and change, save

Hey guys, I'm considering buying this phone using youshop+ google play store.

I kinda get the general idea of how to do it from reading this thread.

However, i just want to know the "absolute total" cost that i'll pay using this method (device cost in NZD converted + youshop cost + customs) arrive at my door in Auckland.

This is because my budget is 470 max and I want something with Jellybean ready, as i want my phone to get updates.

Also I plan to use my phone for at least 2 years.

Another phone I'm considering is the S3 Mini   ....anyone have those ?

You will get an 8gb for that, the 16gb you will have to pay about $100 duty so will be a bit more than that.

So does that mean with the current US $350 price + around US$20 shipping  , customs is free ??

Also, can anyone be so kindly list all the current unsolved issues with the nexus 4 ?  I konw all phones have their bugs , I want to know the Nexus 4's so that i can tell if it will affect my use or not.

I have a calling issue, calls last about 30-60seconds on average and then they cut out. Connection drops right out and then reconnects

$370 NZD for 8GB N4 + Google Play shipping

$23 NZD for YouShop postage + insurance

So $393 NZD to my door give or take a few dollars. Think the average is usually $400 NZD.

YouShop aren't really doing anything their end bar slap a new sticker over top of the UPS one. It's sent in the same box Google used.

Nice!

So i see you didn't get slapped with a customs fee ?

At what stage of the payment do you actually specify how much your product is worth and do you just include the google store price (aka US 299 ) ?

They ask when your item arrives at youshop and they ask you for the payment
You specify a value in US dollars that should NOT include the shipping (as this was US domestic)

Im assuming that youshop will automatically add the youshop fee onto the value of the parcel

So in my case, if i want to get the 8GB version , when youshop contacts me regarding the customs info , i should just specify $ 299 then ?

I want to avoid getting taxed by customs as much as possible , but also don't want it to be so low that if they lose my device they'll only pay back that amount. (if that makes sense lol.)

Sorry i'm asking alot of questions , I've never ever ordered an electronic device from overseas before.

And I keep my phone on avg 3 years, so i want to fully make sure everything will be taken care of.

Yup! Well $299USD is the true value of the phone and it comes under the $400NZD limit anyways (even including shiping/tax/insurance)

Rightyo! so NZD$400 max  is what i should expect to pay for everything (8gb version)

So tick that box.

Next thing I wanna know is , eventhough i'm completely happy with 8gb (or more like 4 gb after system files) ...I'm not sure about the battery. I need some knowledge from you guys lol. Since it's built in, what happens when the battery finally dies (after say 300 charges) , you can't replace it and you have to throw away the phone ?

I expect to charge the phone once a day  and i want it to last 3 years before it losing capacity to say 80% ......is that reasonable ?
And the nexus will always get the latest update from Google right ?

That should cover all my questions .......i'm getting itchy just asking! hah
