Your mileage may vary of course. Going from Wi-Fi to mobile data eats battery fairly quickly but I'm so happy with it. My GNex struggled to get 3 hours screen on.

bradstewart: The ultimate test for a smartphone.

May sting a little for those that are still waiting for theirs to arrive.

Wow, they are not very durable.

Brendan:
bradstewart: They all have those languages Telecoms included.

The Telecom variant is m7_ul which is the international gsm/lte one that everyone has. Software is the only difference.

There are several variations of m7_ul. Any idea of the LTE frequencies your one covers? Or, failing that, the frequencies of the Telecom LTE when it's released?

At the moment, I'm thinking the vodafone and telecom units are identical, but I'd like to update my little list and be sure.

Greaver: Went into Noel Leemings in Tauranga at mid day to force them into getting me something concrete to work with, spoke to the manager and the phone kids behind the counter and they rung Brightstar again to ask for an update.

According to Brightstar there is no confirmed date for shipping at all and if they had to guess, it would be late next week

WTFBBQ

Went into JB Hi-fi at Bayfair and they agreed to price match but only to $949 which is obviously useless given I got two at $800 each

Crying a bit now, especially after actually holding the HTC One and comparing it to the S4

A friends sister's uncle's wife said that it was because the courier left a 'wasn't home' card at Telecom's house even though they were there all day watching lolcats on youtube. And now the courier is off sick. I was like Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

True story.

That would require sun for testing. You may have noticed there hasn't been much of that lately.

Also I don't think my very unscientific findings vs those in the S4 thread provide a fair or accurate comparison.

It does not have to be scientific. I am curious because some suggests s4 has better readibility under the sunlight.

Damn, not much help (unless I missed something).

It's the pn0714000, which also makes it the 801s model. But that alone doesn't get us the LTE frequencies (and therefore evidence it will work on both voda and telecom LTE), as it still could be the Asian lte or the US lte.

Thanks anyway.

Interestingly, it seems to have come from Australia.

I just bought 3 different flip style cases from eBay:
- KLD Oscar Style Thin Flip
- KLD Enland Style Flip
- Nillkin Fashion Flip

Will be posting my impressions when they eventually arrive.

Picked up mine yesterday from VF Pakuranga. After a terrible experience on the phone on Monday trying to pay out of my existing contract and get the HTC one (I got nowhere fast, the woman had no clue), I got the complete opposite in store. The staff member was amazingly helpful and I walked out with my shiny new toy (and some free stuff!).

Had my first taste of 4g. It was fast!

My only complaint so far is no Google+ integration for Blinkfeed. It's effectively useless for me as I don't have facebook/twitter/linkdin/flikr.  Back to Action Launcher for me.

Has anyone rooted yet? Theres a toolkit by Hansoon2000 on XDA that looks pretty simple.

Nothing too exciting unfortunately. I got to pick something from the wall of cases/chargers/accessories. She started talking about cases and chargers I thought she was trying to up-sell ($200 HDMI cable from JB anyone?) me some crap, but it turned out it was a freebee!

Sadly because the phone was new they had no cases, so I ended up with a nifty car charger (a little stump one that can replace the lighter permanently and not look weird).
