networkn:

Am I blind? I can't see a price? I had hoped some retailers might sell it less than RRP :)

Is only white going to be available on release day do you know? If so I am going to cry.

Possibly. It says instore only why not pick up a phone and call them or visit the store. The fact they have the white one and the black one tends to suggest to me that there could be two colours available.

Probably the only people with Galaxy S4 phones connected to Vodafone on the 27th April will be Vodafone employees.

With only seven days to go until the launch, maybe the delay by Vodafone in starting their pre-ordering is because there won't be enough phones once their staff get theirs?

I was JUST on the phone with Vodafone about renewing my contract to a new phone because my S3 is trucked and wondering what they can do for a very long term customer (turns out nothing) but the lady said that public release will be on the 27th and generally new release phones are free on all contracts and I should wait until then.

I do want to go for the Note 2 and was seeing what they could offer me on a discounted contract, but it's cheaper to cancel my plan and go to 2degrees.

Anyway, was having a play with the Ativ and if the S4 and S3 were put into that body, they would have an all around winner of a phone. It FEELS so much more premium than the unfantastic plastic of the current body.

I am pretty surprised at the lack of promotion and hoopla about the new phone compared to the S3. Barely anyone has it for pre-order, no big promotions or Telco Promotions (No going into space this time?)

VF are lagging as all the other telcos have it, though I presume they have a reason.

They've probably been given realistic stock allocation numbers which we consumers are ignorant of.
Global launch, everyone wants black = Recipe for disappointment.

Kopkiwi  you still on about the plastic, why do you torture yourself and persist in Sammy products as they won't change, just buy the HTC one and you won't have a care in the world.

Frankly the plastic doesn't worry me and hard to find anything nowadays they doesn't have plastic in it.

Hi Guys,

Is there any difference between getting a VF, Telecom, or 2D Galaxy S4?... i'm currently on 2D based down in Pukekohe, and the reception here is less than reliable.. so much soo as i hit Drury i am "roaming" ..

I was thinking of swapping over to Telecom, but a work colleage said that Telecom did something different to their S3's which altered their battery life and will probably do it again.. I have tried researching his claims but found nothing and i asked him where he got his information from and "cant remember"..

Does any one know if telecom will do any thing different to their S4's ? or will all S4's regardless of carrier be the same.. (apart from the network you belong too)

Many thanks

Andrew

Andrew, I am on Vodafone in Pukekohe with the S3. I was on 2degrees firmware and the wifes was Vodafone. There appeared to be no difference. We are now both on Vodafone firmware.

I would imagine Telecom coverage would differ but I would think that Vodafone and 2Degrees coverage on an SIV would be identical.

Not speaking from and experts point of view here. JohnR might have something to say...

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Is the S4 being sold by the likes of Telecom and VF capable of LTE AND DC or is it a case of OR?
