sidders80: Its up for pre order on Vodafone on the $140 plan.

Ordered.

The next hurdle is will it be delivered to my Auckland address at the weekend so I can take it to work with me (I'm working in Wellington all next week). Or will the delivery notification sit in my postbox until I return?

hairy1: Andrew, I am on Vodafone in Pukekohe with the S3. I was on 2degrees firmware and the wifes was Vodafone. There appeared to be no difference. We are now both on Vodafone firmware.

I would imagine Telecom coverage would differ but I would think that Vodafone and 2Degrees coverage on an SIV would be identical.

Not speaking from and experts point of view here. JohnR might have something to say...

Agree as my sister is on VF with her S2 and says sometimes reception / data is a bit patchy but no real issues.

Maybe its me, but last night and all today.. my reception has completely dropped out and reconnects after 10mins or so...

Any idea if we are getting the Octa Core or just the standard Quad?.. im thinking im going back to telecom! (unless anyone tells me a reason no to )

Cheers

So am I right that LTE/Dual Carrier devices are generally mutually exclusive including the S4?

I would be surprised if that was the case. The qualcomm is capable.

Vodafone have the S4 up for per order provided you are signing on to a $140 plan. Are there going to be outright sales at Voda stores on Saturday?

I'm worried this is going to be a repeat of the iPhone 4 launch where I existing customers exploded after being told they could not buy the phone outright and it was only available to new on contract customers. Needless to say it was not a pleasant experience in the Voda store that day and I am not exaggerating when I say things almost came to blows!

Any word from JR on this would be appreciated.
