jeffnz: sorry for all the posts especially if you guys already know all this but just in case.

I was looking for a battery cover and came across the following , I have dealt with Aliexpress before and they are ok and its free freight.

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Deluxe-Chrome-Metal-wire-drawing-series-battery-back-cover-case-for-Samsung-galaxy-s4-i9500-free/865402025.html

If you search the site they have the flip cover ones with the window as well

I bought these in dark grey and light silver, and I do like them, though they scratch and the logo is raised and will scratch very soft surfaces. Makes the phone feel more chunky. Unsure if I will keep it.

ok thought they might be like that but its just a cheap way of protecting the back, I did get Plastic ones for S3 and they were ok but did eventually break but we very cheap.

They do look really great though.

Amazon have a healthy price reduction on Sandisk products right now. I believe it may only be for a very short (<24h) period however.

I picked up a 64GB MicroSD for USD$43 and am using Youshop to get it to me. I'm pretty sure that's a better deal than i'll get for a while. Just a heads up, for anyone else.

Yeah, i'm still contemplating the 240GB or 480GB ssd for the laptop. The 240GB is a solid price and it'll just mean moving data back to the server so it's not the end of the world, heh.

Yah I looked pretty hard at that 480GB, but I have 3x240GB in a RAID0 at the moment so I would need two to be better off space wise, and performance wise I'd be going backward. :)

Sweet, I was waiting for that. How much is the shipping from Youshop?

Cheers

You don't actually need to use youshop for this, I thought I might try my home address and it went through with no issues.

Heh, sorry, yeah got a little off topic there, didn't we.

Back to S4 related info though, has anyone found an iR blaster app they like? I've tried a few (paid and free) but none do the job nearly as well as a dedicated remote. I suppose I shouldn't have expected it. Smart Remote is the best i've found but it seems to need work on its macro functionality before I could use it all day.

Heh you are braver than me. Other than the repulsive lockscreen which I hate so much, my S4 is pretty good. I'll eventually flash when more updates leak, but so far, nothing compelling has leaked I've felt I had to have.

I haven't even rooted.

it is pretty bad but I changed the wallpaper on mine and also got rid of that writing before I flashed so it looks a bit better.

Yes I know i shouldn't have but, well you know couldn't resist lol and got rid of a bit of bloatware.

Nandroid backup was 3.4gb so the lack of storage on the phone is an issue if you want several backups although I did put it on ext SD.
