Lipex666: Well today my NZ brought S4 died at 50% level and just shuts down and has been doing this for the last 3 days and today I noticed the battery popped off the back cover.   So looks I have a one of the dud S4 swollen batteries now I need to do a warranty job.  Seems to be a worldwide fault.

Uh Oh...

S3 was the sudden death and now S4 has the Swollen Battery..

I hadnt heard of this one until now.

Its a good thing you mentioned it here coz otherwise if it had happened to me, I would have thought its a water damage or overheating or overcharging or something using related issue...

Search on goggle shows world wide fault and Samsung has acknowledged this, the issue i have they are asking to send the whole phone into a service centre when all I want is a swap over the counter foir a new battery but we have only the phone company retail stores which are not sammy.  Im still looking for a way to get a over the counter battery.

You could just buy a new one, then send the old one in for replacement.

jeffnz: Mine shows 4G on auto so being a custom Rom on phone I'm not sure if it will work as I won't receive update.

Not a biggie if I have to flash stock to get update just nuisance value

That's because in the US they call hspa+ 4g.

Its actually h+ or 3.5g

correction shows option of LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)

Then instead of 4g it will probably say LTE if you're using 4g

Sure no problem,
Got mine from Clove about 4-5 months ago, it was just over $830NZD shipped back then.
Performs really well, no problems at all. Updates come through pretty quick, no need to wait for carrier approval.

I have put a new sim in my phone today to be able to access 4G on telecom , I believe I am in the coverage area but not 100% sure what should be showing on my phone. Currently its showing H+ with the 2 arrows under it. Should it say LTE or 4G if in 4G coverage ??

Is your S4 from telecom? do you have the latest software installed?

It should say 4g or LTE

I got a telecom one from Warehouse, they price matched their online one day deal of $750.

Is it normal for the top speaker (ie the metal long thin speaker grill) to be raised compared to the glass, with a small amount of flex around the speaker, it seemed a little odd that it wasn't nice and flush and that there was some give in the glass around it.
