1eStar: If you're willing to stretch to just over $400 then I'd recommend looking at Samsung galaxy s2 plus. Around $410 on pricespy. I just recommended these to a friend and they are in the process of getting currently. They wanted the good camera of the s2.


I'll ask her, but I think $300 is pretty much her ceiling. Thanks for the tip, though, I'd be happy to try to persuade her to upgrade. :)

I have had a Huawei G300 for around 4 or 5 months.  Cost $300 new.  There is a manufacturers update for ICS, altho I am running a JB ROM.  I'm pretty happy with the phone, it's not the fastest, but it has good bang for the buck.  I looked at a bunch of phones for the price, and found this to be a good entry level device, 1 GHz processor, 480 x 800 display.

I'd get the G510 over the G300 it's $299 @ vodafone.
