My criteria for a smartwatch:

1, Always on, daylight readable screen

2, Standard micro usb charging

3, thin profile

4, Battery life to at least last a weekend

My Sony SW2 meets these, my old Sony MN2 didn't.

I found the most useful security app last night.

Autolockphone

So I have been running an unsecured handset for a while now, the hassle of entering a security code or pattern, or trying to get face unlock to be consistent drove me to it. But now, Autolockphone.

When your Sony Smartwatch 2 is in range and connected, the lock screen is disabled, as soon as it's out of range, bam, numeric locked. Loving it.

I'm still playing with Remote Widget for Smartwatch 2, it's like a whole new world of possibilities if you can find functional widgets.

I've had the watch back only a week and it seems like a new device with the advancements the software upgrade has brought with it. The customisable watchable are great. Connection seems to be rock solid so far.

My list of third party apps are as follows:

Autolockphone
Bubble level
Calendar
Dgauthenticator
Find Phone
Gmail
Google Now launcher
Gps Map 2
Gps Viewer
Media control
Missed call
Mode changer
Paste and share
Remote widget
Smartwatch shopping list
Status view
Watch my tracks
Watchify
Weather

Built in/sony built apps are:
Alarm
Calculator
Call handling
Flashlight
Messaging
Missed call
Music player
Phone book
Stopwatch
Timer

The trick is getting the happy medium of the right number of notifications coming through. I've got it showing me phonecall/text/email but I've turned the social media stuff off because it's irritating to be interrupted by it so often!

My Smartwatch arrive this morning ...Cool Tec! Had a play but need to do some work looks like a lot of fun . Will have to change the wristband as to small for my wrist. Oh It looks like a standard watch strap link. Should be able to work with that.
