As per the title, Google Play Music All Access is now available in NZ.

New Zealanders will pay NZ$10.99 per month following the free thirty-day trial. Those who sign up after the end of August will pay NZ12.99 per month.

Signup is available here: http://play.google.com/intl/ALL_nz/about/music/

I've just signed up and will be dropping my Spotify sub.

Ok thanks. Probably not something I would use but I can see the advantage if you have a device with bugger all memory etc.

A beautiful web based interface that doesn't make me cringe because it looks like a terrible iTunes ripoff.

Oh and the Android app is simply awesome.

Without turning this into a Spotify vs Google Music debate..

I find that Spotify repeats some songs a lot of the time. Is that because their library isn't that big? Maybe I have some settings not enabled properly?

If Google Music doesn't repeat the songs every time I turn it on then I'll most likely jump ship as well...

Honestly I don't really use the radio feature. I just have a huge collection of playlists.

Re library size, they will be comparable. Google claims about 18M songs.

Spotify probably has a few more features for now and the lack of Facebook integration for Google Music is a little disappointing.

Hmmm. Interesting. Might ditch Spotify. I use my squeezebox a fair bit here and there is no app for it yet which is a bummer.

If anyone is using it already can you have a device playing offline while another is streaming?

Cheers, Matt.

I'm playing music in my browser on desktop while my phone is playing in offline mode.

Around the start of June Google said they would release an iOS app within weeks but nothing since then.

For iOS users (like me!) who want to take advantage of storing songs in Google Music cloud (no charge for first 20,000) , I've tried several and the only stable one so far is "Cloud Play."
The Windows uploader BTW is ugly but works ok.

Horray! No facebook integration. I find that a bonus feature! :-)

I don't use facebook very much at all but find that it is very integrated into spotify.

I suppose Google+ will be integrated into Play Music. Out of the frying pan and into the fire....

I have the YouTube AYCE addon from Snap which seems to cover all Google traffic (no other way I can account for 80GB per month of Youtube). But I'll keep an eye on it.

Music is 320Kbps MP3 so you could easily chew through a decent amount.

Have they fixed the Android App recently. The current version never exits and has been killing my battery. I rolled back to the default Jelly Bean 4.1.2 version to avoid the issue.

320 kbps is approx 140 MB per hour so that would be about right. There is a setting to turn off high quality streaming. This may cut it down.
