Likewise. Works great for my requirements. Using BubbleUPnP on my tablet to throw music at my Marantz AVR. A few more projects in the pipeline. Brilliant.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Bubble UPnP is just ridiculously good.

Having a couple of issues with it, but it does work. Worth the $6 or whatever it was.

I got 1 month subscription a few days ago, at the cheaper price before the 31st August cut off.

I am coming from Spotify and so far I do not like this at all.

My Biggest issue I have with this is I cannot find music by decade, there is only genres to be played. I searched for "80's" and all that was listed was 6 Albums, 5 songs and 4 artists. Compare that to Spotify and you could search for decade and genre. I also looked under "Hip-Hop/Rap" and again there was about 5 artists/albums/songs listed. Not exactly sure what I am missing here?

Another issue is the time it takes to buffer when skipping through songs. Selecting a song and then going 30 seconds into the song from the beginning it takes about 4 seconds (on average) to buffer and start playing again.

Hopefully somebody could point me in the right direction....

Thanks

Forgot to mention, I've set up NFC task launcher to auto-start Google play music every time it detects my car Bluetooth. Absolutely awesome and I don't need to take my phone out at all during my commutes. I tried with tasker but it was slow at detecting and I'd get 5 minutes down the road before it worked.

Interesting idea.

I also found the google music much less responsive to the avrcp control from the stereo compared to rdio. Shame that you cant use avrcp from the buttons on the stereo while enjoying the better sound of the aux in. Wonder if there is a standalone avrcp capable steering wheel remote to bypass the headdeck altogether.

The buffering thing is odd, do you otherwise have a good connection with Google services? There is less than a second when I seek right at the start of a song and after it's played for 10 or so seconds there is no buffering at all when seeking.

I've seen the complaint about searching by release year a lot, all from Spotify users. I reckon Google will work on the search functions with Google Music sooner rather than later, they'll hopefully put their smart/learning search to use like the search in Google+ Photos.

Best bet is to use it for a while and you'll soon discover some features you do like, then toss up they make it worth it.

Already a couple of changes that might interest you.

Not sure if this was already the case on the desktop version but you can now start a radio station based on genre, and some genres have specific-decade sub-genres, still no smart search though "Play me some nineties rock", I reckon that will be coming though.

I had a play with the new genres offering over the weekend.  Some of selections seems a bit random.  I would not have called Adam Ant or Billy Idol 80's alternative for example :-)

And this is the advantage Spotify and Pandora have - time. It takes time for either an algorithm or people to sort the music correctly. I believe Panodra do actually rely on staff (and probably users) correctly categorizing the music.

I kind of feel like this is a step or two behind Spotify. Currently it doesn't feel "complete" to me. As the above poster said Spotify has had time on its hand.

Im getting delays when I switch tracks (4-5 seconds on average), cant search by year/decade and when you look up genres instead of listing 100's/1000's of songs it gives you the top 5 currently most played or something like that.

I don't know if I will be sticking with it. I will probably go back to Spotify until this gets sorted. However one major problem I had with Spotify is it would repeat the same songs quite often. Its as If when I listened to music from the 80's it would get 30 songs and play them in a circle.
