I was under the impression there were updates to 4.2.2 as well? I know VF are waiting for a release that addresses a couple of issues including if I recall, battery drain.

I believe VF recently released the UBMG4 firmware? Where Telecom are still with the previous UAMDE. I'm not actually sure what the changes are, though.

From Samsung-Updates the latest NZ updates are:

Galaxy S 4 (Snapdragon) GT-I9505 NZC I9505XXUBMG4 Android 4.2.2 04.07.2013
Galaxy S 4 (Snapdragon) GT-I9505 VNZ I9505XXUBMG4 Android 4.2.2 04.07.2013
Galaxy S 4 (Snapdragon) GT-I9505 TNZ I9505XXUAMDE Android 4.2.2 12.04.2013

I'm guessing NZC must be 2D?

Same here, interested to see what changes we will get. Heard maybe more stuff in the quick access toggle? Hopefully battery optimisations

Also is there much difference in the CSC's? I know Telecom has its boot logo and its renaming Internet to Y!TWorld and adding a Your Telecom shortcut but what other differences are there between the CSC's? Ive been a little bit tempted to flash vodafones or 2degrees one to remove the branding (Im using it on Skinny)

Maybe its this updatE? http://www.androidcentral.com/international-samsung-galaxy-s4-updated-apps-sd-support-visual-changes

UBMG4 is a later update again, so should include all changes form UBMEA plus whatever else justified an additional release.

If you're really in a hurry you can always just flash them with Odin ;)

Im not in a hurry, Im so scared ill end up bricking my s4 or something lol, Ive only flashed CF-Auto-Root and Stock so far

By the way, has any one noticed the metal look screen frame and sides of the phone scratch really easy?

Also in the first few days of having the phone managed to get a big mark on the home button. Annoying eh but that would be too hard to fix

Why would you? If you run a custom rom now, you will have all these updates and more I'd imagine.
