How do you find the weight of the Z1, it is quite an increase from the Z (Z1 = 170g v Z = 146g i.e. 16.5% increase).

I am currently using an S3, am contemplating a change to the Z1, but the weight was a bit of a concern for me. The S3 only weighs 133g.

I am a convert to white phones too, was never that keen previously, but got the white S3 at launch because that is all that was available, I'll definitely be making my next phone a white one too, they look smart.

Any idea when the Z1 is due to retail in NZ. I was in a Telecom store yesterday and they wouldn't tell me when it was coming out - either they didn't know, or they couldn't say, not sure which.

Cheers

Hey

I don't know if you have held a Z before, but in my opinion, you can definitely feel the extra weight. But in saying that, it feels so good, like I wouldn't say this is uncomfortably heavy

I don't know when it will be released in nz by our carriers, but it should be soon, the Sony NZ Website has it as coming soon.

This is my first white phone, and honestly what makes it sexy is the brushed aluminium on the sides, still can't get over it, haha.

Sony's skin, which used to have a bit of lag, is now lag free too. So all in all, I am very satisfied with this phone

nakedmolerat: What's the battery usage like? 3000mah!

It's excellent. Like for example today, leaving home and coming to work, by the time I'm at my desk the battery is on 65%. Today and yesterday, I'm on 85%, using the phone exactly the same way, facebook, twitter, Instagram, music player.

For me, honestly, the battery life is very good, even when I got home last night I didn't need to put it on charge like I would with the Z

I sent a query to clove asking when the smartwatch will be in stock. Apparently they will have it on Monday so you should get your smartwatch soon too!

Awesome, it's kinda gimmicky but looking forward to it.

Don't know how long I will be using it for though.

Basically Telecom did not support fast dormancy. If your phone has that fast dormancy set to ON, you will have reduced battery life

How do you find the phone.  Do you feel you got a good quality screen.  Lots of rumours saying there is a screen lottery going on with the Z1.

I'm tossing up in getting the Z1 or Iphone 5s

I'm liking the screen alot, it's more brighter and the colours look more vibrant than the xperia z, of course there are concerns about the viewing angles, but I never pay attention to that anyway, I look at my phone front on, I don't care what it looks like from the side or any other angle, lol

have you got the latest firmware.  has it improved the camera a lot.

there were issues with the camera to start with.  Some people are reporting the .513 firmware has fixed it a lot.

I've been reading this website http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=206135&start=2805  lots of info there
