2DegreesCare: Nexus 5 coming soon, $699, 24 month warranty

Great price, I will be in for that.  I would prefer the 32GB model so if you could check what the status of that is then even better.  If not, then I will settle for the 16GB.  Will be watching the online store.  I follow the Twitter feed too so I assume it will be announced there?  Don't want to miss the initial shipment.

Am I right in remembering that 2D was the only carrier who sold the N4 last time? If so, likely to be the same again this time? Was there a particular reason the other telcos never got hold of them officially?

langers1972: What a rip off, $399AUD is equivalent to $457NZD.

.

add freight , GST and CGA and how does that look :)

If your talking AU. then GST will be in the $399 price add another 5% for NZ. Freight most likely $10 to any part of Ozz.  CGA. Well they don't have one   but I can't see that being worth about $200 here in NZ..

AU does have something quite similar to our CGA

2DegreesCare: Nexus 5 coming soon, $699, 24 month warranty

Told you guys it would be cheaper :D Still not 32gb confirmation though which is unfortunate.

It's not too long to wait till release too, but if you guys are anything like /r/android, every day will be agony :p

For the bargain hunters who can wait even longer, watch for Noel Leeming 20% off "big brands" sales, they do them every now and then. Harvey Norman is worth the watch too. If the timing is right, it'll be cheaper than WHS and then you can get WHS to beat it by 5%. So it'll be 699 less 20% = $599.20 less 5% = $531.24.

That amount is actually not right either but sorry to be a dick about it...close enough :) agree with you guys are saying. There were some good deals on in December for the Nexus 4 last year. Looking forward to it! I just hope the camera is better than all previous Nexus phones. It'd always a bit of a let down...but not enough to move me away from these Nexus devices :)

Is it an "unmodified" phone? I remember an uproar when the Vodafone Nexus One didn't get updates until Vodafone approved them, and just want to check that that's not the case with you guys.

Well, I was planning to cancel my order from the Play Store because I was honestly expecting the launch price in NZ to be much higher, but it says I can't because it's preparing to ship. Ah well, still a good price and as if I'd be using LTE in NZ much without spending a loooot of money

Why do you guys say that this is such a great price??  If you buy at that price you're just rewarding their greed..   The N4 was  discounted from $799 to $499 after a couple of months as I suspect sales were  not good.   A  NZ$500 would be about correct  unless LG NZ  is creaming it as well..

Old3eyes
