deadstar6: Got 4.4.4 this morning. I have noticed 0% change.
As opposed to 4.4.3?  I wouldn't have expected you to find anything different, as it was a minimal patch mostly aimed at blocking the Heatbleed flaw. List of changes is here, but not much else of note in the 2.5M patch - saw some people reporting an improvement in radio vs 4.4.3, but that was obviously just wishful thinking.

Hey we got a cool new dialer with 443, but agree, 444 was a bit quiet!

Android L is running great few problems with root apps but that's to be expected would be interested in knowing how often the will release new previews in the build up to stable.

Loving the new look especially the dialer and notification drawer.

I always flash as soon as the images are released but you defiantly should have received them by now. You could always download the stock 4.4.4 image and flash. It will completely wipe your phone though so make sure you back up first. Its extremely easy to do as well

Me too, re: 2degrees Nexus 5.
My Nexus 7 (2013) has 4.4.3 OTA, but no love for 4.4.4 for either machine.

Its pushed by Google. I'll flash stock 4.4.2 tonight and see if I can get it. Even GPE devices have received 4.4.4.

Hi Echoe,

Echoe: Its pushed by Google. I'll flash stock 4.4.2 tonight and see if I can get it. Even GPE devices have received 4.4.4.

Is that easy to do?

I have a rooted but not flashed Nexus 5 - I am very comfortable taking risks with it, and all data is well backed up.

If I flashed it back to Stock 4.4.2 (as it shipped in Jan 2014 I think), will that make it identical to the date it shipped from the factory?  If so, what is the difference to doing a factory reset?

Thanks,

Alan.

If you have a custom recovery, you won't receive OTA.

Hey echo and hellraiser. How have you found L and compatibility with existing apps? Thinking of flashing it but only have one nexus 5 so would have to be my daily driver...

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Awesome

+1. Keen to try it out, but it needs to be stable enough for actual use

It's actually not that bad!

Bad news if you use the official twitter/facebook apps. Twitter crashes, fb comments screw up. there is a whole list on the xda forums of apps that don't work and check if anything there listed is something that you will need. I've loaded IOS betas before and they were buggy and sluggish, this preview is smooth and fast, almost everything works and I get 4 hours screen time during the day
