Bit off topic, but you don't need a 64bit cpu to address 8 gig of ram..

2^32 is 4,294,967,296, aka 4GB. 32bit addressing gives you a 4GB address space.

Way off topic now, but not if you are using a 32 bit system that supports PAE.

Threads always go off topic. PAE's a bit of a hack, effectively using more bits, better to just use 64 bit above 4GB. Interesting though.

PAE has pretty severe performance drawbacks and also still doesn't allow for individual applications to use 4GB or more of RAM.

PottsyNZ: Fishpond doing the 16gb for 319:

http://www.fishpond.co.nz/Electronics/Motorola-Moto-G-Global-GSM-Unlocked-16GB/9999276273366

Pity it wasn't the dual SIM version..  But at that price and as it's being shipped from the US  it would be cheaper from Amazon and YouShop.

Local consumer law should cover it from fishpond though...

Not by a lot - and ease of return through fishpond.
