Go buy $5 Prepay connection pack on Prepay Smart with a number already allocated and the port in to Vodafone will change the mobile number to the one you wish to keep

he wants 4G

Trust me I know how it works

not too sure last night I did what you said ended up with mediocre 3g!

You purchased a Prepay connection pack before the details were released about how it would work :P

michaelmurfy: You'll need a new sim from Vodafone. But why do you want to port over again? Telecom's network + deals are pretty awesome at the moment.

main reason is i want to use 4G. but there is the problem where vodafone firmware galaxy s4(my device) does not have the 4g setting appearing when using on a telecom network. and i saw vodafone now has "prepay 4g" new range of plans. i might change back again....

It's a simple fix: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=97&topicid=133963&page_no=1#930099

you need to go to the shop to get a free telecom 4g SIM (the changeover is immediate). then you will get 4G with telecom in these 3 cities. you will also get unlimited landline and telecom mobile calls if you top up $20. that can't be beaten. I've also read reports of telecom 4g having superior coverage but I cannot confirm yes or no. so go to the telecom shop now and get your 4G sim dude!

The OP's problem IS NOT the 4G SIM but the fact his tablet's firmware doesn't show a 4G option when using Telecom.
