Hello,
Today my phone unexpectedly turned off. Upon trying to turn it back in it gets stuck in the samsung logo screen displaying the phone's version (GT-I9100). I've tried the recovery mode, clearing cache and reseting it to the factory data. None have worked. I've never rooted the phone, nor have i done any manual downloading. Apparently the only thing that i have left to try is the downloading mode, which I don't know how to work around with. Any help with this, or any other suggestions to fix the phone, will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Francisco I see you are from Argentina, I dont know what warranty rules there are there but if you have not touched it as far as rooting etc goes, and if it is still under warranty you should be able to take it back to have it fixed.

Mine did this a long time and for reason the EFS information was corrupted or missing.

EDIT: Sorry I read this as S3 not S2, so I assume there is no warranty

if you can get download then you should be fine. Without trying to talk you through rooting and flashing here is a youtube vid of installing JB .

You will need to have samsung drivers installed which will be if you have kies installed howver make sure kies isn't running when you start the Odin process.

download JB stock rom here and maybe a quick read its not bad from what I read and good luck.

as an aside I rooted and installed CM JB on a mates old S2 last week with no problems but that is a custom rom and slightly differant process but using Odin
