jeeg: Yeah Z2 looks like a great phone.

Question is, import from UK with speaker/headphones or wait for local?!

What shop?

Pre-ordered mine from Clove, and they charged my credit card already as a "back-order" :/

Oh well, hopefully they will really ship on the said date.

The Z2 has just gone on sale in Taiwan for NT$23,900 which is about US$800. This initial shipment comes with the noise cancelling headphone and DK36 charging stand as well as an original matching leather case.

I see Mobicity has it available for preorder.  Anyone find mobicity any good for these preorders?

Just remember you have to add on additional GST for MobiCity orders.

A warranty question about buying it from overseas - would you be able to get it serviced at Sony Nz should the unforeseen happens?

No, you would have to send it back to the place you bought it from.

Looks like there is a delay with the Z2 as Sony doesn't have enough stock.  Looks like preorders will be fulfilled but thats on a first come first serve basis so looks like waiting until May for rest of launch.

Yeah I guess thats why SonyNZ is keeping all quiet when asked about the Xperia Z2, as if they're trying to avoid selling the phone when you try to ask them on Facebook.

Hey folks,

I am pleased to announce that the Sony Xperia Z2 is a Vodafone exclusive for NZ. Available in both black and white. $1049 outright, or $0 on Vodafone Red.

Should be on shelves & in your hands by the middle of the month, and I should have a more precise launch date in the very near future.

Also, I have one on hand, and the screen is stellar.

Cheers,

 - Nik

Any free gifts like most other pre-order deals?

I didn't think NZ would be launching this soon, so I ordered from UK instead. Now ending up having to wait longer, till mid May. Sigh...
