I have a Alcatel idol mini and the battery life is terrible even when the screen if off. I forgot to charge it last night and about 41% of the battery was used whole it was on idle.

Does anyone else have the same phone? Do you find the same thing?

Turn GPS off if not using it.
You also seem to have very poor signal at the start and end of the day which would cause the radio in the phone to be chewing battery trying to hold a signal. Wherever you were during those times might have no to low signal for your network.
I would expect that that battery life is about right for a phone like that. Charging nightly is the norm for most smartphones these days.

Thanks for the reply.

I do have GPS off 99% of the time. And the screen brighteness is on low.

The thing that concerns me is that this device is meant to have a really good battery life. But so far it's worse than my old Sony Xperia Tipo, which I thought was bad. I can barley get half a day out of it and it takes about 4 hours to charge again.

Check which apps are using the battery. Sometimes there are apps which are constantly waking the phone up and eat the battery. I used a wakelock detector app to work out that I should uninstall facebook and engadget apps, and battery life increased dramatically.

as already said look at what apps are running, I see wifi off a lot you should make sure its sleep policy is never as it takes less power for it to search for things.. Check what apps you downloaded lately as well.

Check you don't have google now running and switch off sync and just do it manually. Looks like when your screen was on it dropped a lot, what were you using at the time
