Krishant007: Has anyone put a case on their one yet? I was looking at getting a case for the OnePlus 1. Any recommendations?

I have a Nilken Frosted Shield on mine :) Most people prefer Diztronics tho.

Ya I saw that one and it did look quite good. I was on amazon trying to order 1 in but I would have to get it YouShopped. Does anyone sell it in nz?

I got my Nilken off aliexpress

My wife's OPO lost data reception twice on Friday and today at her work (Tank Farm, Auckland city) - I am not sure if it's related to her old Vodafone iphone plan (and not having 4G) or some upgrades happening in that area.... Her 2G works fine and can send SMS.

She recently installed some apps - wonder if they can affect it... May need to format and reinstall everything.

i get this occasionally, had it across 3 different phones now. somewhat of a pain, however a reboot normally fixes it (turning data on and off, or going flightmode does not fix it for whatever reason..)

Yeah just bit weird that my HTC hasn't had that problem yet for last 4 months. But then i have never used my phone in that area much....
Apparently 36R update is coming next week - so I will update it and see...

Man I have no I idea what phone to look at

I have a Note 3 at the moment and love the screen size, but there are some cool phones coming out, or already out.

The M8 is a beautiful phone but I hate the camera, they seem to be changing that with a 13MP variant.
Or do I wait for the Note 4 with the improved camera (OIS yay) and apparently amazeballs screen
Or do I get the Z3? Loving the water resistance and dust proof (big plus when I help the old man out on the job site during the weekends)
Or the one+one? Love the look, the idea of having CM built in with regular updates it's massively appealing.

Then you get into the rumored phones, the Nexus 6, the Motorola Turbo.

Decisions, decisions.

TBH, I bought a OPO from PBtech on Saturday. So far I'm loving it. Great feel, really nice and responsive, Cameras are great. I would quite happily if I were in your shoes, go buy a OPO. WAAAAAAAY worth the price that's being asked, and considering it's a significant amount less that the competition this to me is a no brainer.

It is so tempting. Wonder how much I'd get for my Note 3.

What's the difference between the PBtech and direct purchase?

Well tbh, nothing aside from you get a Samsung charger, and it doesn't have the Cyanogen mod logo on the back. Otherwise it's Identical.

LTE radios are an issue.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

On the PBTech one. See this post here:

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=97&topicid=150253&page_no=5#1102217

I am still confused about which version PB are supplying. I doubt you will get a straight answer from the showroom floor. Can anyone here find out which LTE channels their PB OPO's have?

These are the differences between the two models, not a problem if you are in Europe or Asia but in the states there are some bands missing.

T
hey are also running a different version of Android I believe but you can flash the standard OnePlus One firmware onto them.

I have one from PB tech, LTE works on them (i am with spark) and I get LTE everywhere i should get it.

Comes with Cyanogenmod installed however i notice when applying the updates the boot loader/recovery is in chinese by default, it looks like they are supplied from china. The back of the device does not have any cyangen logo on it.

So i don't know if they are flashing them with cyangen however everything works as it should.

Can you fill us in on what Version of Android it is running etc, just wanting to see if it has ColorOS or the Version that comes with the US OPO
