Keyboard - +1 Swiftkey
Messaging - Sliding Messaging
Notifications to desktop etc -Pushbullet
Music Player - +1 PowerAMP, Gonemad Music Player also very good
Launcher - Nova launcher (Apex and Nova are pretty well the same)
Icon packs for Nova/Apex - check out ones from Kovdev and Stealthychief first (stuff like Domo and Axis)
Wallpapers - Wallbase (use Image 2 Wallpaper to get them just how you want to be applied) or Muzei (w/extensions)
Gallery - Quickpik
Alarms/stopwatch etc - Timely
Streaming/DLNA/UpnP - Bubble UPnP
Emulators - PPSSPP, DraStic, MyBoy, Mupen64, Reicast, FPse
Keeping track of sales - AppSales
Video players - MX Player and DicePlayer
RSS - gReader Pro (with Pocket of course)
Podcast - Pocket Casts
Package tracking - Package Buddy Pro
