Reason being is the product isn't that great. There's heaps of defects being sold.. Just look at their forums on the yellow band and reboots for no reason.

Customers keep being ignored by their customer service because there is none.

Hence why there has to be invites cause they can't handle the load and they can't handle let such bad reputation spread out by selling it openly.

It took ages for my opo to get fixed.

Buy the OnePlus One without an invite on Jan. 20

Next day they'll announce the OnePlus Two

Hey guys

I have a 1+1 and just noticed that although it's saying it has a "global" 2/3/4g frequencies coverage I fail to connect to Vodafone's 900Mhz 3G network

I have my Oneplus and M8 side by side and HTC was happily saying 3G while my Oneplus kept saying GPRS

Any insights?

Thanks,
Damian

Both the Chinese and the American OnePlus One support Vodafone 900 WCDMA which is Band 8 and 2100 Band 1 so there should not be a problem if it was one of these.

Make sure you Network Type is set to the highest setting and not just set to GSM would be one thing to check.

It was a PBTech purchase.
I am not sure which version it is.
Is definitely set to highest setting and is not picking up extended 3g

take it back sounds like an issue,  You have the Chinese version of the one+
It would seem that PBtech buys these and then flashes cyanogen onto them (chinese ones come with a color OS).
If it was from 1+ and international then it will have the "Cyanogen wording/logo".

I also have one from pbtech however I am with spark and I get 4g/3g fine

Looks like you are right.
I do not have the Cyanogenmod logo on the back, only some writing in chinese.
Not sure if I have any right to get PB to replace it with the proper INT version.
Oh well, it will tie me over until the new HTC model.
But guess buyer beware, not good on PB to advertise international specs on a phone that's not international.

Thanks for answer.

Most likely to get rid of surplus stock before the OnePlus Two is released by invite only.

I gave barron my invite.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.
