Got mine from Amazon via Shipito (like youshop). I'm just using the charger it came from via an adapter, no need for stepdown transformers or anything else.


Which model did you end up getting?

Another stupid question: Does it take SD cards? 


Mine is the WiFi only, I got mine at their initial release months ago when it was all that was available.

Yes, it takes an SD card, big selling point for me.
