Not an edge showing or unprotected in my latest case! Spigen SlimArmor. It's amazing

How do the buttons feel on it? They look quite weird. Also, how have you found the kickstand durability so far?

I can confirm none of the usual places in Auckland Queens St have Note4 cases in, at all!

PBTech has screen protectors (Saumsung ones) for 15$

CoolMobile is supposed to be getting cases Tuesday.

hmm

Didn't want to do it, but bought an S View Cover from the Samsung site last night. The dark one is on special for $33!

Not really liking the look, but the new features compared to the Note 3 S View Cover are pretty useful.

Do you really need a case any more ? after these test ?  don't think you even need a screen protector.

I want a leather wallet style case just because:

- The phone is shiny and slippery.
- Don't want to carry both a wallet and a phone.

Cheers - N

Did anyone get their wireless charging cover and dish from DSE when ordering online?

I didn't order online, though I did get the offer - haven't received any of the extras yet.. Apparently they aren't even in NZ yet.

Firmware upgrade available for anyone who hasn't yet connected their Note 4 to the violation that is Kies. (I have the Voda version). I assume this is the battery update that was mentioned on the web, but I have yet to check build numbers.

Nothing here on the Spark version :( - Though I have also connected to Kies in hope of getting the update through there.

If anyone is doing a firmware update via a laptop, FYI the update will survive the laptop going into hibernate due to no battery, and then resuming. Just carried on.. phew!
I don't know what the people that understand this stuff need to know, but I now have:
Kernel dated Thu Oct 9 13:33:40 KST 2014
Build KTU84P.N910UXXU1ANJ4
Vodafone NZ version.

I remember this on an s4. Try turning off auto rotation, going in to settings, device, input, motion and gestures and select the calibrate option, then turn auto rotate on again. Worth a shot.

Sorry just deleted the comment as I seemed to have fixed it!

I cleared the cache (I think), I held down the volume down button while booting up, it started in safe mode and rotation seemed to work so I restarted and all is well.

Any ideas what might have caused it? Not a major deal to keep doing if it reoccurs, but it would be annoying...

I have the Vodafone version and only a couple of apps are preinstalled, both are removable.

Also firmware updates need to come from Voda.
