With a new google wallet app out, I thought i'd install it and see if anything had changed. Last time the app refused to launch and went about hiding itself from my appdrawer.

This time the app launches, but a region lock appears saying that it doesnt work in my country, with a direct link to changing addresses for google wallet.
I set it to a USA address, and a day later it let me access the app.

I set tap and pay enabled, after entering my NZ Credit card details, but a USA billing address. An NZ billing address would not work.

Once this was enabled, i gave it a shot at a local BP.

Alas however:

So does this work in NZ at all, or is it completely blocked, even when entering a USA address above twice like described?

I believe it is blocked completely. I know Semble aren't far away from release but at this point it would be great to use Google Wallet.

I might have posted this before but it doesn't work even with a US issued credit card and address. Google must block international transactions.
